Today after dropping JR at school for his 1st day back after the summer holidays, Me, Mr M&TTT, TP & LA headed off in the car to Drayton Manor theme park to watch a screening of the new Thomas the Tank Engine movie – Tales of the Brave. 

Tale of the Brave introduces us to 4 new friends

 This adventure sees Thomas and his friends going on a journey of discovery, after Thomas discovers some Large footprints in the china clay pits during a huge storm. Thomas is eager to find out what left them but danger and obstacles appear around every corner.

Percy is convinced that there is a monster living on the Island of Sodor, and goes on a journey of discovery to uncover the true meaning of bravery, with the help of his friends old and new.

We really enjoyed this film, I have never taken TP to the cinema before because he doesn’t really have a very good attention span, so ave always thought he’d either leave half way through, or disrupt the other cinemagoers.  Today I didn’t hear a sound from him he sat still eyes glued to the screen for the whole movie. However there were some scenes in the film that unsettled TP, but they didn’t scare or upset him, It seemed to be just the right balance of exciting and fun. Also I don’t think it worried him too much as he asked to watch the DVD as soon as we got home.

This film should be part of every young Thomas fan’s DVD collection.
