A very busy day

I am going to apologise in advance there are no photos in this post, just words sorry!
Today has been a very medically orientated day for me & the tiny three, I thought I’d let you share it.
The day started out at 9.30 with a speech assessment appointment for TP, he’s doing okay there are quite a few high frequency sounds that he still needs to develop, and needs reassessing in a few months time, only he’s over the age of 3. He’s also being referred back to audiology to see if the missing sounds are anything to do with a hearing problem such as glue ear.
Then virtually straight from there my marvellous mum took me to get LA her 1st MMR and her booster vaccinations, I know it’s the best thing for everyone but I always hate taking the kids to these appointments, but luckily for me LA wasn’t really in the mood to cry, and as a result the inevitable crying only lasted about 1 minute if that, and there’s no more vaccinations until she’s 3 1/2 and has her preschool boosters.
After LA’s appointment we headed to my mums for a spot of dinner (beans on toast!) and to get ready for a birthday party this afternoon.
After dinner it was JR’s turn to have a trip to the doctors. He’s been absent from school since the 16th September due to a nasty case of impetigo which as most mums know is very very contagious. His schools policy is that he can’t go back until it is completely healed and there’s no trace of it left, I like this policy as it reduces the risk of contamination, however having treated it to the letter for 2 weeks and it not getting any better I today took him back to see what other course of action we could take, that consists of more cream and a Dr who says to send him back to school as he believes he’s no longer contagious. However the school still say no, which means I get until at least next Monday at home with my big man.
After this we still had a friends birthday party to attend at soft play, which as the Dr said he was safe I allowed JR to go to, I can honestly say that I am well and truly shattered after that full medical diary today, it’s not one I really want to repeat anytime soon – 3 kids, 3 different medical appointments, 1 day!
