As I write this I’m sat on the top step of my stairs waiting for the tiny 3 to settle down and go to sleep. They’ve had a rather exciting afternoon and are still a bit to buzzy to settle, but they will shortly and after all it’s giving me time to write this!
We were invited by our local church to a monthly evening they run called ‘messy church’ this time was going to be all about lent and the children would all get a meal of chicken nuggets and chips and for supper and a pancake or 2 for pudding afterwards.
They created 3 different things with very little help from me (they really are growing up too quick!)
The 1st thing they made was a tinfoil cross badge this was so simple to make yet creates such an impact.
Then we filled bottles with 3 different colours of powder paint to represent the 3 temptations Jesus faced in the desert.
Then we each wrapped a chocolate bar up and put a sticker on with our name and the date 20/4/2014 (Easter Sunday) to test our power to resist temptation!
I wonder if these will still be wrapped Easter Sunday.
What do you think could YOU resist?
What a great way to spend an evening!!
If the chocolate was in my house I don’t think it would last until the weekend….lol
I’ve hidden the chocolate in the hope they forget about it lol
