Even though JR is nearly 5 until this morning I’d never taken him to the cinema, I have a good reason for this in that he never sits through a whole film ever!
When merry hill centre asked if I’d like to attend an advance screening of the new family movie Turbo at their odeon cinema I decided that this would be my to introduce JR to the world of the cinema.
As you can see he settled really well into his seat, with his popcorn, Pepsi max and his 3D glasses. He chose a seat right on the front row so that no one bigger could stop him seeing.
Throughout the whole film he sat still and quiet. This really surprised me as he never does this.
The film itself was very good fun and great family entertainment I’d recommend it to anyone. The story is about a snail called Troy who dreams of being a racer, and is by the company behind The Shrek franchise Dreamworks so you know it will be a quality film and is in cinemas nationwide from October 18th.
I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to take JR to the cinema it was great to have some quality time just me and him and I can’t wait to take him again. The price of the food wasn’t that expensive either really £4.99 for a popcorn, Pepsi max and gift (a one direction lanyard!)
I asked JR what he thought of the morning and he replied
it was the absolute awesome mommy
So I think that means he enjoyed it!
disclosure
I was invited to watch this film free of charge, however I purchased the food and drink (and one direction lanyard?) myself for the purpose of this post.
