This morning me, Mr M&TTT, and the tiny 3 were making our way to Beale Park Reading, for the Matilda Mae welly walk and family fun day.
The morning started off like any other day we had an early start, me & Mr M&TTT got up early and got ourselves ready whilst trying and failing not to wake the kids up. Then we got the kids ready telling them we were going to have a nice family day out and that they could eat at the destination so as to avoid travel sickness which I really suffered with as a child and also in all 3 pregnancies.
We started our journey and it was quite un-problematic, we stopped for petrol and so JR could have a wee before getting on the motorway.
Less than 5 minutes after getting on the motorway bang! The car bonnet flew open and hit the windscreen, smashing it! Luckily Mr M&TTT is a great driver, and keep is cool, using his wing mirrors he got us onto the relative safety of the hard shoulder, where he assessed the damage and got to a S.O.S phone where we were advised that as it wasn’t a breakdown we had to make our own way home.
Mr M&TTT drove amazingly well to get us home and we’re getting our windscreen fixed on Tuesday, and the main thing is we’re all safe, but a little shook up and JR was a little scared but a car can be fixed and it could have been a whole lot worse
A little update! THE CAR CAN’T BE FIXED!
I think its bloody disgusting they made you drive home!
that’s disgusting… I’d be naming and shaming the breakdown company due to how unsafe it was to leave you. glad you’re all ok.
Can’t believe they made you drive home! Glad you are safe
Seriously they made you drive home!! who is your breakdown cover with?
Honestly I have no idea Craig deals with all of that
