The tiny 3 absolutely love cbeebies, in fact if I let them they’d watch it 24/7. One of their favourite programmes is Chuggington.
For Christmas JR received a chuggington stack track play set which has been played with on almost a daily basis since Christmas Day, with JR even opting to use some of the money he received to buy extra track to make the set bigger.
When I told the boys that they’d been chosen by Toys ‘R’ us to be toyologists they were very excited, and even more excited when I told them that they’d be receiving another chuggington set to review.
We received the Rocky Ridge Playset that comes with a high performance Wilson train. It has 35 pieces and 1 instruction sheet. These can create 4 different track set-ups, although the only get written instructions for the 1st set-up, you get pictures of the other 3. It is fairly easy to work out the the extra 3 set-ups from the pictures alone.
Both JR and TP were able to put the track pieces together but weren’t quite able to follow the instructions.
The track fits together easily with jigsaw like connections, and it can be taken apart easily too.
The boys favourite thing about this set is that it can be connected to the set the already own, to make a big super set, and with the extra pieces they can set the track up however they like.
The trains are made from high quality diecast materials, and with the provided connector pieces this set can also connect to the Chuggington diecast set series that stays at floor level.
At Toy R Us this set is currently retailing at £39.99 and for the quality of this product I feel that this is very good value for money, and I would happily buy more sets and trains from this range.
Disclosure: The tiny 3 were sent this set for the purposes of this review s part of the Toys R us toyologist programme however all views and words are our own.
My two love Chuggington, but we don’t have any playsets like this. I’ll have to check them out – I bet they’ll go down a treat.
