It’s no secret that I love building Lego, whenever the free mini kits are being given away in the newspapers I always collect them you the guise of ‘they’re for the kids’
So when I was the kids were sent a new Guardians of the Galaxy set to review, naturally I was they were really excited.
So Tuesday night after the kids had gone to bed I started putting it together, it has an age range of 6 -12 years old, JR will be 6 in November, but still struggles with following the instructions.
Inside the box there are 2 bags of bricks, one for each model,3 mini figures, an instruction book and comic.
This is a medium size set, which took me around 1 hour to put together. I think that even though JR struggles most children of JR’s age would easily put it together with just a little parental help.
The instructions are very clear to understand and follow, with very simple steps, they even show how the mini figures go together.
The 2 models this set makes both have moving parts and are quite decent in size.
Once built both models are quite sturdy and will withstand a lot of play without needing to be re built every 2 minutes, which with my boys can sometimes get annoying.
This set is currently available here for £19.99 which is extremely good value for money, and I shall definitely be adding to this collection over the next few months with both boys having birthdays coming up very soon.
Disclosure: I was sent this set for the purposes of this review, however all words are my own.
