Rainy school runs

A few days ago I wrote about how my most stressful part of the day is always the home school run at 3.15. What I failed to mention was the most annoying part of said school run – the rain!
You see it feels like every single afternoon since JR started school that it has started raining just as the school bell rings at 3.15.
This leads to a mad scramble I mean how do I put the rain over over LA, TP’s hood up or try to get JR’s wellie’s waterproof trousers on all in one go?

That is why it came as no surprise to me when I read that Jessica Bridge,a PR and Communications Executive forLadbrokesrecently commented:

“that Ladbrokes had recently slashed the odds for the wettest ever January. As more rain descends upon the UK the bookies have been forced to cut the odds of January being the wettest ever on record to just 6/4.”

So it looks as though it’s a good job that we are big believers in the fact that there is no such thing as bad weather just bad preparation and bad clothing!
It also looks as if I made a good investment when I brought LA & JR (TP has JR’s hand downs) all weather waterproofs and all 3 new wellie’s, now bring on some muddy puddle jumping!
