2013 – the unexpected year!

So what has 2013 meant for me?
Well for a start if you’d have told me this time last year that I’d be writing a blog and people would be reading it I’d have laughed at you. I only got a C in GCSE english and that was a shock. Even more so if you’d told me that I’d enjoy it so much that after only a few months I’d go self hosted. Writing is not something I’ve ever thought about doing even less so letting someone read what I’ve written.
Then I’d have really laughed at you if you’d said in the next 12 months you’ll take a train to London and spend a weekend away on your own, and go for a meal with loads of people you’ve only just met. Thank you to everyone who let me tag along with them at Brit mums the boy and me , Eliza , and Jenny Paulin to name a few – sorry if I missed you.
I would never have guessed I’d have the confidence to go to a tots 100 summit in Manchester again on my own, or get a train just me and TP to Milton Keynes for a Little Tikes play date.
I just don’t do that sort of thing, I’ve never been the person who has the confidence to do that.
This past year has opened so many doors for me that I didn’t even know existed 12 months ago, let alone thought I’d be part of. For that I owe the blogging community a great big thank you!
I can’t wait for 2014 and to see what it brings.
