Book at Bedtime

As part of the school’s world book day celebrations the foundation stage pupils were all invited to go back to school just before bedtime in their pyjamas, slippers and dressing gowns with their teddy bears to share hot chocolate and bedtime stories with their teachers.

The headteacher shared his story first, which was called Nothing by Mick Inkpen TP was really taken by this story, so much so he drew the headteacher a thank you picture the following morning. Then we heard Aliens love underpants by Claire Freedman which had TP really laughing even though he hears it most nights anyway.  We then listened to Freddie and the Fairy by Julia Donaldson which was a lovely story in Julia Donaldson’s trademark style. Finally we heard Little Rabbit Foo Foo by Michael Rosen which all the parents and children adored.

Finally it was time for all the children to say goodnight to all their friends and go home and to bed, heads filled with all sorts of amazing adventures and ideas.
