Heroes of the city review and competition

Heroes of the city is a cartoon by the swedish television company Ruta Ett DVD AB about rescue vehicles in a city where everybody gets to be a hero. It has currently been sold to television stations in more than 180 countries around the world, and they are currently in the process of recording the second series. As with all childrens television shows there is a range of books and toys to accompany the series. There is also an app available in both The app store and on Google play. We have been lucky enough to try out the app on both our ipad and my iphone, the boys love it equally as much on both. I love that whilst it is a fun app the boys are also learning at the same time. As with most free apps nowadays there in the option of in-app purchases but i’m sure you could get away without the need of these if you so wished.

Here is a few screen shots of the available games

There are also a collection of short movies available too.

20140116-165557.jpgI was also lucky enough to be sent a pack which included a book, DVD and 2 toys of the shows characters Paulie police car and Tilly Train.

We have read the book everynight at bedtime and we’ve virtually wore the DVD out how much the boys have watched it. The cars are very good quality and have withstood some rather rough play by the boys.

Ruta Ett DVD AB have very kindly given me one of these merchandise packs to give away to 1 lucky reader, to be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize just fill in the rafflecopter below. GOOD LUCK!
