Time for a new bed

5 years ago as a housewarming gift my parents brought me and Mr M&TTT a nice new double bed. It was a lovely wooden bed and it had a really, really comfy mattress.

I say ‘was’ and ‘had’ because that was before we had 3 lively toddlers who haven’t got a trampoline so use our bed instead, Before we had 2 little boys who would much prefer to climb into our bed in the middle of the night than stay in their own beds, Before 2 little boys learnt that jumping on mommy or daddy at 4 in the morning will 9 times out of 10 get you the attention that you as a 3 or 5 year old feel you deserve at 4am.

Our bed is only a double size so you can imagine how squashed we all are when 1 or more of the tiny 3 are either unwell, or have had night terrors or nightmares and want comfort in with mommy and daddy. Me and Mr M&TTT usually end up on opposite sides of the bed hanging on to the base trying desperately not to end up on the floor . Also after 5 years of being used as a trampoline not only is the mattress now lumpy the bed base itself has started to break infact a chunk of the wood is missing.

I have always believed that the key to a healthy lifestyle is a good nights sleep, so with that in mind at the turn of 2014 i set myself a goal to achieve before the year ends and that goal is to get us a new bed a kingsize bed. I actually quite like the look of this bed from John Lewis but i think it is quite a bit outside of our price range, but a girl can dream.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post however all words and thoughts are my own, and embarrassingly the boys really have broken a bit off my bed :/
