My kids are currently obsessed with Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures on cbeebies. They love the fact that he can travel back in time to see the dinosaurs, in his magic grandfather clock, all of their current games centre around this.
This got me thinking if I had a magic Grandfather clock where would I want it to take me?
To what period of history would I want to go? Well at 1st I thought what if I went back 5 1/2 years to when JR was a newborn, but then I thought although the newborn stage is all new, sweet and cuddly I actual quite like the 5 year old I have now and the JRism’s that he comes out with so I scraped that idea as I did for TP & LA also because they’re also growing into awesome little people.
Then I thought about the Tudor times I’ve always been fascinated by them, but I’m pretty sure I’d be horrified by what I saw.
Then I finally decided I think I would go back to Dallas the day JFK was assassinated, I’d love to know who shot him so I think I’d hide close by the infamous grassy knoll to see exactly who was there. Was is really Lee Harvey Oswald or was he framed? Who knows?
I think I’d also like to see JFK’s inaugural speech live too. I don’t know why but I have always been fascinated by him!
